Commercial transparency
Menu
How paid content is labeled
Advertising and paid placements are identified clearly and conspicuously near the content using labels such as Sponsored, Advertisement, Paid placement or Paid profile. A disclosure is not hidden only in a footer, hover state or general policy page.
Editorial independence
Sponsors may provide factual materials and review their own attributed statements for accuracy. They cannot secretly choose our conclusion, remove relevant criticism, create an independent ranking position or claim an endorsement that was not made.
Rankings, directories and profiles
Independent rankings use published criteria. A paid enhanced profile may receive richer fields, verified links or additional distribution, but its commercial status is visible and payment is not represented as an organic score. Sponsored modules are separated from independent ordering.
Outbound links
Links created because of payment, sponsorship, free access, gifts or another material benefit are qualified with rel=sponsored or another appropriate attribute. Ordinary editorial links are selected for reader value and are not sold as ranking signals.
Sponsored explainers and research
A sponsor may fund a useful explainer, webinar, dataset or report. The sponsor and its role are stated at the beginning of the page. Methodology, sources, limitations and editorial responsibility remain visible.
Corrections and complaints
Sponsored content follows the same factual correction process as editorial content. Questions about a commercial disclosure may be sent to partnerships@accountingainews.com; factual corrections go to corrections@accountingainews.com.
Commercial contact
This policy is effective 10 August 2026. Partnership proposals must identify the company, product, requested format and any desired links or claims.
