Consent and browser storage

What cookies are
Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Similar browser storage, such as local storage, can remember a preference without creating an advertising profile.
Essential preference and security storage
We store your analytics-consent choice in local browser storage so the site does not ask on every page. This preference is necessary to respect your choice and does not track reading behavior across websites. Our hosting and security infrastructure may also set strictly necessary Cloudflare cookies, including bot-management or abuse-prevention cookies such as __cf_bm, to protect the service and keep it available.
Optional analytics
If you select Accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set first-party analytics cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga identifier. These help us understand aggregate readership and site performance. We configure Google advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization and Google signals as denied.
Consent Mode v2
Before a visitor makes a choice, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are set to denied. In that state, Google may receive limited cookieless pings carrying consent and technical status, but analytics cookies are not stored by us. Accepting analytics grants analytics_storage only. Rejecting non-essential cookies keeps all four denied.
Change or withdraw consent
Use the Privacy choices button shown on the site to reopen the banner. Rejecting analytics updates the consent signal and attempts to remove first-party Google Analytics cookies from this domain. You can also remove site data in your browser settings.
